~1PM SESSIONS - THATS RIGHT WE ARE FINALLY OFFERING A DAY OPTION!!! ~
What is Circle of Security and is it right for you?
Circle of Security is based on decades of attachment research and explains the biological process of how children use their primary caregivers as an anchor to learn about themselves and their world. This internationally recognised framework for understanding children’s needs provides a visual map as well as a toolkit to know how to respond to children to provide them with the best opportunities to live a happy and healthy life.
When I first learnt about the Circle of Security as an educator over 10 years ago, it changed everything I understood about my role as an Early Childhood professional. It shifts everything we thought about what we need to do with children, to thinking about relationship as the key to nurturing our children’s potential. In my work as an Early Learning Consultant, I ensure that anyone I am working with knows the foundations of attachment from the start.
I give you my word, that completing this course will literally change your whole perspective and make you feel as though you have these secret superpower that other people don’t know about. It is liberating, transformative and empowering, yet so easy to understand and apply to not only your relationships with children but with everyone in your world!
You should consider this course if:
Common parenting advise doesn’t feel right
~ You have an interest in respectful, responsive parenting styles
~ You’ve often wondered what the right response to your child’s behaviour should be
~ You are feeling a little lost on your own personal transition into parenthood
~ You find yourself second guessing the way you communicate with your child
~ You've wondered how you can best support your child's early foundations of brain development
~ You may hope you don’t make the same mistakes your parents may have made
~ You strive to bring the best out in your parenting or teaching
What does Circle of Security teach?
Circle of Security provides a road map to read our children’s needs and how to respond to those needs with both responsiveness and respect
~ How relationships effect personality and overall brain development
~ How to tune into our own parenting style and how this allows for loving attachments or what may be getting in the way at times
~ A map of how to approach parenting from an attachment perspective without providing, rigid rules, routines or checklists
Why do I think it is so important?
Because this map of parenting can underpin everything you do as a parent
It takes a lot of the questioning out of parenting
Provides parents, Carers, Teachers the CONFIDENCE to know how they can respond to their children in a helpful way
We don’t haveto parent the way our parents did, often (but not always!) we may secretly or not so secretly hope to not raise our children the way we were raised, yet are unsure of how to break the cycle
BECAUSE ONCE YOU LEARN ABOUT IT, YOU WILL NEVER THINK THE SAME AGAIN
